To mark the occasion, the IFoA Mental Health Working Party’s mental health of actuaries workstream is launching a short survey to better understand the mental health and wellbeing of actuaries across different stages of their careers.
The survey is open to all actuaries and actuarial students, regardless of career level, and will be promoted at the upcoming IFoA GIRO Conference and IFoA Life Conference.
Lisa Balboa and Joseph Wilson, co-leads of the Mental Health Working Party, are presenting with Dharshini Navaratnam at IFoA Life Conference 2025 on mental health in insurance. They will talk about their role in delivering mental health support and responsibilities under Consumer Duty and ESG agendas.
The session will also highlight the working party’s initiatives and introduce the survey.
By participating, you will help us:
Whether or not you have ever accessed mental health services, your perspective is valuable. Responses from a diverse range of actuaries will help us understand how needs vary by career stage, region and working arrangement.
The survey will remain open until the end of November, and findings will be published once responses have been analysed.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your input will help shape the future of mental health support within the actuarial profession. Thank you for taking part.
