How did you get into volunteering?
I came across the 400 Club when I was browsing the website, and I’ve been a volunteer for over four years now. The role is an opportunity to add your voice to the IFoA through online surveys, and the club is made up of 400 volunteers from all over the world, with the diversity of Fellow actuaries, Associate actuaries, and students like me.
What advice do you have for new volunteers?
Apply to be a volunteer today. It helps build your Personal Professional Development (PPD) and enhances your competence around effective communication and decision making.
Felix Owino is a Business Development & Actuarial Analyst at Kenbright Actuarial & Financial Services Limited. He also achieved a Silver Pin badge for his contribution as a volunteer for the IFoA 400 Club.
No matter where you are based around the globe, we encourage all members of the IFoA to volunteer to join the IFoA’s 400 Club, our global focus group. The responses from surveys are used to enhance our service and provide better support to our members.
